Areas of Expertise
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT is rooted in psychological research. It prides itself on being transparent and solution-oriented. Necessary changes are prepared during the sessions and practiced in everyday life. CBT usually leads up to exposure exercises that signify a behavioral contrast to the automized avoidance of certain emotional experiences.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT incorporates mindfulness and acceptance into the change-based approach of CBT. The term 'dialectical' describes the continuous effort to find a 'middle way' between conflicting, often black-or-white impulses. In the 1980s, Marsha Linehan invented a teachable language for all kinds of psychological 'skills'.

Common Factors
Psychotherapy works astonishingly well. More than the choice of a particular school of therapy, common factors impact the extent of therapeutic progress: cultural and religious understanding; preferences with regard to frequency, duration, interventions; coping and personality styles; adaption to the phase of the therapy or development.
Online Therapy
I love working online. I have been complementing my sessions with asynchronous contacts and digital resources for a long time. Today, there are plenty of excellent tools that allow for an extension of the therapeutic help beyond the fifty minutes. This enables an easier transfer of new insights into your everyday life. I can be closer both in terms of the times that you experience struggle and in terms of the places that actually matter to you. Paradoxically, this makes online and blended therapy a more viscerally connective mode of communication and a more effective treatment.
